Curriculum Design for Home Educators

A one day workshop suitable for all home educators, whether you prefer a structured approach or a more autonomous educational style, or indeed somewhere in between.  

One of the most amazing aspects of choosing home education for your family is the freedom it brings.  Rather than purchasing a 'one size fits all' prepared curriculum, design your own unique and totally personalised curriculum.  During the workshop you will explore the curriculum design process, reflect on your long term and short term aims and goals, have access to a range of useful resources and see examples of how to present a curriculum visually in order to share, not only with other adults but also with your child or children.

I believe that designing the presentation of the curriculum in a way that is accessible to children can encourage child-led learning, which is so often at the heart of what we do as home educators, so I am excited to show some examples of what is possible.

There will be plenty of opportunities to reflect on your aims and available resources, and a look at some learning theories that may be helpful in scaffolding and pitching learning.

The event will cost £36 and will take place on Saturday 18th January from 9.45am to 1.30pm.   in Lindfield, Haywards Heath.  

Lastly, I am so looking forward to this workshop.  I believe that we will all leave with our brains buzzing with new ideas.
